New Obsessions...

I have a new obsession.......joining virtual groups!!!! Shall we see the different virtual groups I am a part of??

I have never done anything like this and I am sorta scared! I will need to figure out what to make and all of that....has anyone done it before?

I am not sure if this is for just this Friday or for every Friday....but regardless I LIKE it!

You know you are terminal when a siggy square swap group was created and a few hours after it opened it had to close because it had over 100 people sign up! I unfortunately was unable to do it, but would have! LOL TERMINAL I tell you! Although I think I am too my limit...almost. These are all tiny things and get done when you can sort of thing....so rather easy!

If you know me you know that math, just isn't my subject. In college I had Travis do my math homework for me!

Thanks for my friends and family that have so kindly pointed out my math and how Brandon being seven now and getting my endownments seven years ago don't really add up!!! It is because I was going from 2009 not 2010! So it is EIGHT years ago that I got my endownments out! For some reason that extra year feels like 5!!

Not so wordless Wednesday

Seven years ago I was preparing to be married to the love of my life. We made many trips from Rexburg Idaho to Colorado that year. It began with New Years spent at my Aunt Sandie's home and then a few weeks later I came back to receive my endownments. So weird to think what has happened in the last 7 years! Can you sit back and think what you were doing 7 years ago in January? Thank goodness I have pictures!

New Quilt in progress

I went a whole 4 days without starting anything and to tell you the truth I was BORED!! Yes I got caught up on my cleaning and I did get stuff done...but in the between...I didn't know what to do! I mean you have to be really careful not to clean too much!! You might actually get a clean house, and I am always looking for ways to do the bare mininum! Anyway...I decided that I wanted to do something about my scraps. I started collecting 2" squares to make a large quilt with, but after cutting for an hour, it gets old...so that will be a LONG in progress work. But I have tubes and tubes of scraps that I have been saving for a string quilt. So I got out a large one and went to town.

 I started by cutting out 8" paper squares. I have decided that if I do 10 squares a day I will have a quilt top ready in approximately 10 days. So far I have done 14 squares.

14 down....70 to go...

Now what do you do with the scraps??

Too small for anything that I am doing....so what do you do with them?

Family History Monday

A few weeks ago our Relief Society Presidency (for those who are confuse, they are a LDS church organization) gave us a box of family history questions that we could answer once a week. The goal is that within a year you would have a good start on your family history. So I decided to do just that.

Every Monday I will pick a piece of paper that has a question and answer it, and then I would like to invite others to answer it themselves. Also any family members that know more information (ie Grandma) please let me know!

Elder Dallin H Oaks taught, "Some of the most important temple and family history work is done at home. At home we can keep our journals and gather pictures and data for the books of remembrances of our family members. W can gather and record information available through living relatives. We can write family histories and share their great lessons with our children."

Doesn't that just gear you up??? Okay here is goes.

What was your religion growing up? What church, if any, did you attend?

My religion growing up was LDS or Mormon. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have attended this church my whole life, and have very fond memories of church and learning there. I loved Primary and learning the music there.
