Masterpieces

Today the boys didn't have school today. We spent the day relaxing, playing, eating and just having a good day. The day went by so fast that we past our bedtime by a few hours! One of the few things we did today was water color painting. The boys love anything that you can paint, and this was the first time Kimball painted. He really LOVED it! Brandon called his work the "masterpiece". Nathan made a sequel of paintings involving a bird. From young to old. And I think Kimball made a bird too, but it's anyone's guess. They got the bird idea from the cover of the paper book. So they "had to" make a bird. *Notice my sewing area in the back? Some have nice large rooms...I have an area!*

Relief Society Dinner

Tonight was the night to put the table together with all of the goodies I have been working on. It was a fun evening to share with other Sisters in the Ward (church). It was fun to see what others had decorated their tables with as well. There was an Easter theme, Sunflower, Birthday party and a few others. I was able to take a few snap shots of the table, although I am not sure if it does it justice!

I think this got a lot of the Sisters excited for quilting classes that I will be doing sometime at the end of this month or the next.

*A special thank you to Cindy, my Mother in Law for letting me use your place settings!*

Finally something I CAN'T kill

Working on more projects for the Relief Society dinner, and I decided that I wanted to make some flowers. I found this website that showed you how to make some. So I took some of my Moda Aster Manor scraps and made leaves to make the flowers. I think they turned out rather well. Although the larger the leaves the more the droop, but that is fine. I will have to go in and hot glue gun some spots down but all in all I love them! And the best thing is I can't kill these flowers!!

Treats

I have been sewing baking all weekend long! These little treats are going to be for my table at the Relief Society Dinner on Thursday night. I better get cracking because I still have a few more items to finish for the table!
Jelly Rolls
Mint Brownies
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Doughnuts
