Easter
I had grand plans for Easter this year, but like most things in life, it doesn't always goes as planned. So this year we spent Easter with my family. It was kinda weird and Travis and I were apart for the first time for Easter. We had a very low key day. The kids found the "Easter Bunny" presents, we watched General Conference, had lunch with the LDS missionaries and then had dinner with my brother Jeff and his family. I didn't get very many pictures, my camera's battery was dead, so I used Jenni's pictures she took.
From Left to Right:
Cali, Cade, Zoey, Kimball, Nathan, Brandon
Kimball was still tired, so was mommy but we mellowed out at the end of the day.
Sick
So as I have said the strep throat sickness has blessed our house. It started with Travis over a week ago on Wednesday. I leave town (to visit my family) on Saturday. I was great no problems and then Thursday, the very next day after I get home I come down with strep. I am now feeling better, isn't medicine wonderful? But the best part is I can now enter society, I am no longer contaigous. YEAH!
Wasn't he a wonderful little boy? He brought me up a bowl and spoon on a cookie sheet lid, my serving plate. He also wanted to make it again since Kimball has a runny nose. I told him lets only make it for sick throats. But with his cooking, I better start teaching him how.
I took Travis's picture laying on the couch watching cartoons with the boys last Thursday. He looked so cute! Then Friday while I was sick, Brandon thought he would do something nice for his mommy and he made me some carrot soup. If anyone wants the recipe here it is:
Brandon's Carrot Soup
2 cups cooking oil
2 eggs
2 cups carrots
2 cups milk
Mix and cook for 3 1/2 hours
Serve and get well!
** For the record I did NOT eat it, but SHHH!!! It was the reason why I got better and Brandon did not actually turn on the oven, so this was all non cooked.
This and That
Some may be wondering where I have been. Well Last Saturday I went over to Colorado to visit family for a few days. I helped my sister Jenni get some house work done, but we were able to get in some fun things like going to watch "How to train your dragon". Then I get home and immediately get strep throat. I am just now beginning to feel better and can start sewing again.
This is what I have been working on yesturday and I will finish today. It is for Teacher Appreciation week. This will go on the teacher's door.
Hopefully I can finish it today and post pictures of it. Or maybe I will wait until Teacher Appreciation week! :D (Which doesn't start until the 19th)

Winner of Mini Quilt
Remember way back when I needed help naming a quilt? Well Rene from Luv 2 Kreate came up with the name Meanering Roses and Crafty Maine Mom came up with Wandering Spring. Well I combined the two and am naming the quilt Wandering Rose. So since I combined the two names I decided to flip a coin to see who wins the mini quilt of Wandering Rose, so Mini Wandering Rose. Crafty Maine Mom is Heads since she posted first and Rene is tails because she posted second...and the results are.... Tails!
Congradulations Rene! Don't worry I already have your address! I will send it to you next week!
