Crazy Mix Up

When I first thought about doing the Blogger's Quilt Festival, I decided not to because I didn't think that my work was worthy of it and that my quilting wasn't that good. But after thinking of it, I decided that who cares. I have very loved and cared quilts and that is something to be proud of.

I have decided to enter my Crazy Mix Up quilt. It right now describes me! Pull a little bit of this and that to make this block, cut that block up and put it together and you get a very Pretty quilt. Individual blocks may not be that "good looking" or nicely put together, but when you step back and look, you see a very creative and colorful quilt. Like me!

When I made this I was apart of the Old Red Barn Quilt Along and followed along on one of the quilt alongs. I learned new block styles that I had never tried or thought of trying before.

The fabric I used was mostly hand me downs that were given to me that were passed from person to person. Then other fabrics were found in the dollar bin at Walmart. I think they all turned out very nice, creative and pretty.

It currently rests on my bed and has been there for several months. It is one of my husband's FAVORITE quilts and that in and of itself makes it priceless to me.

I'm so glad you overcame that negative voice in your head. Sometimes I think that voice is our worst enemy! I love how your simple blocks and hand me down fabrics came together to make something really beautiful and interesting. Love the throw pillows too.

I glad you decided to enter! I'm very partial to scrappy quilts, and your was made in the true tradition of "making do" with what you have. It is a very a warm, happy quilt.
