Quilted Bag Swap

I participated in a Quilted Bag Swap this Spring. I couldn't resist! I have been trying to cut back on some of the things that I sign up for, just because I am running out of time! I think I have all the time in the world to do things, and it turns out I don't! But I did decide to do this.
My partner said that she liked fall colors. Believe it or not, I don't have much of those!! I did however make a wall quilt a while ago with some charm packs that I won in a giveaway, and there was enough to make this. I decided to do a simple patchwork.
The inside is plain. It's only about 17x20. They said to use it as a craft bag or whatever...but it's small but an okay size. It can be used as a small purse.
I also sent this charm pack along as a small gift.
I hope she likes it. I sent it all the way to Norway! I have never sent anything that way before. (Please excuse my stained ironing board!)
I received my package about 2 weeks ago. I was having a rough day and receiving this turned my day around! What can I say, I love receiving mail! (The good kind too....no bills)
I received this cute little thing!! I did ask to have something more modern in fabric, something I wouldn't be ashamed to take out in public! I think my lady did very well!!
I love how the chairs match the inside! I ended up using this as a purse when I went to see Les Miserable. (Previous post) and I am pleased to say it did a good job!
I also received this little gift as well....
It turned out to be a fold-a-way grocery bag! Isn't it awesome! I have always wanted one like this! Small enough to keep in your purse, and then you can pull it out when needed!
Then you also have this small pouch too! (This is the part that you fold the bag into, but while using it, you can use it as a small pouch!)
Mine came all the way from Australia! I have sent her a thank you card, but unfortunately with the mail she proably won't receive it for another 2 weeks. Oh well.

I am very glad that I decided to join this. It was a simple fast project that I whipped up in one day. So maybe this means I will do more in the future...who knows!
