How were holidays (birthdays, Christmas, etc.) celebrated in your family? Did your family have special traditions?
For the normal "main" holidays ( Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter) we would head to Littleton to visit our two Grandparents. We would go see Grandma and Grandpa Longan and then we would go across town to see Grandpa and Grandma Schnakenburg. We had cousins on the Schnakenburg side so there were more people to play with them. We would eat and then have an activity such as opening presents or easter egg hunt. I remember there being TONS of people and TONS of food. We would spend the whole day up there up there and then come home at night.
For our birthdays we would have the normal presents and cake, but the main tradition we had was we got to pick what we wanted for dinner that night. That was our special treat of the day. It was hard because since I was a twin we had to pick together what we wanted. These are my main memories!

Oh cute! I love this kind of post, memories monday is what I call it when I do it, such a fun idea!
That is how we spend our birthdays here...We choose what and where we get to eat and also what we all do that day...If we don't like something we get to play the Birthday card. The kids just love playing the B-day card to veto something :)
