American Pinwheel

I have been very busy lately. I find that when your kids are home from school during the summer you can't sew as much as you used to be able to! I have been working rather hard on finishing my last Moda project for now. (I am planning on doing more but I am taking a break for now, maybe when school starts I can do it again). I wanted to finish it before the forth of July and I did!

I designed and made this quilt for my brother in law and sister in law, Wayne and Melissa. They both LOVE red and blues (it was their wedding colors) and are very patriotic. Wayne also is in the Utah National Guard. So I thought this quilt would be perfect for them! Now with this done I have a little fabric left over that I am going to use to make them some matching pillow cases and pillows. It's become a habit for me lately. I have to make a "set".

Now if you are thinking to yourself, how can I make this beautiful magnificent quilt, (you know your thinking that!) Head on over to the Moda Bake Shop and you will find my tutorial. I hope you enjoy!

Your quilt is great...I am wondering about measurements? Is the 6 1/4 yard measurement correct?

Where did you buy the material for it? I can't find it any where!
